In a world where challenges can often dictate life’s path, Robens Beauplan shines as a symbol of hope and resilience. Growing up in Haiti, Robens faced a multitude of obstacles, including the devastating earthquake of 2010, which struck when he was just nine years old.
This life-altering event ignited a fierce determination within him, setting the stage for his journey to the United States and the pursuit of his American dream.
Following the earthquake, Robens and his family encountered numerous difficulties, but his grandfather Medite’s steadfast belief in a brighter future was a guiding light that led them to America. Medite petitioned for Robens’ mother, Lanis Louis, who endured a grueling wait of over a decade for her immigration application to be approved. Despite the hardships, Lanis worked relentlessly, juggling two jobs to save for the journey that she hoped would lead them to a better life.
Upon arriving in America, Robens was resolute in making the most of the opportunities that awaited him. His mother’s unwavering resilience instilled in him a spirit of perseverance. “My mom always encouraged me to never give up on my dreams,” Robens recalls. “Her sacrifices motivated me to work hard and reach for greatness.”
Robens excelled academically and discovered a passion for football during his school years. His dedication and talent earned him a spot on his college team, even featuring on national television. This exposure not only highlighted his athletic prowess but also opened doors to scholarships, enabling him to pursue a degree in criminal justice.
Throughout his journey, Robens was fortunate to have mentors who believed in his potential, including successful entrepreneurs: WOW founder and CEO, Tupac Derenomcourt and his uncles Rey, Kash, and Peyko. Their guidance and support were crucial in shaping his aspirations, inspiring him to aim higher and dream bigger. “They taught me that with effort and focus, anything is achievable,” Robens reflects.
Today, Robens Beauplan proudly serves as a customs agent, a position that allows him to give back to the community while helping others navigate the complexities of immigration. He is also happily married to his soulmate, Gracie, who has been a continuous source of encouragement in his life. Together, they exemplify the spirit of resilience and hope.
As Robens reflects on his journey, he remains thankful for the challenges that have shaped him into the person he is today. His uncle Louise often reminds him, “You still have more to achieve. Go further!” These words resonate deeply, fueling Robens’ motivation to continue striving for excellence and keeping his dreams in sight.
Robens Beauplan’s story is a powerful testament to resilience, the importance of family, and the pursuit of the American dream.
