The October 2021 Current Population Survey found 73.8 million total students enrolled in school, which is 23.5% of the population 3 years and older.
National Preparedness Month: September

National Wilderness Month: September
The 1964 Wilderness Act created the National Wilderness Preservation System, which now includes 803 areas (111,889,002) in 44 states and Puerto Rico.
Summer 2023: June 21-September 23
In the United States, summer 2023 began with the Summer Solstice on June 21 at 10:58 a.m. EDT. It ends with the Autumnal Equinox on September 23 at 2:50 a.m. EDT.
2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season: June 1-November 30
The U.S. Census Bureau’s OnTheMap for Emergency Management offers real-time access to data about the people living and working in areas affected by hurricanes. Note: 2023 Pacific Hurricane Season is May 15 to November 30.
